This is my portfolio for Learning Plan's completed in my Network Troubleshooting/Integration class.  This class was taken under the instruction of Gregg Husband at Northcentral Technical College during the pursuit of my Network Specialist Associates Degree.

The LAN.

Pretty easy step we installed all our operating systems in VMWare Workstation and set up our network.

Monitoring

In this learning plan we set up virtual routers with Dynamips and Dynagen to monitor the router with snmp and MRTG. We also installed nagios on Fedora 10 to monitor all our computers.

Monitoring Part 2

In this learning plan we diagnosed network traffic by using Network Protocol anyalizers like Wireshark and tcpdump. We also took time discussing the ethics of packet sniffing. I also want to stress how important it is to have permission to sniff traffic on the network before doing so. It could cost you your job!!!

Troubleshooting at the physical layer.

This learning plan is all about the physical layer. I had to diagnos a problem at the physical layer by using a cable tester.
